Made from the stigmas of the saffron flower. The plants have to be harvested by hand and require special handling to extract the orange filaments. Used for a long time for medicinal purposes, for its antioxidant properties.
Usually used in the preparation of Spanish paella and Indian yellow rice, it can be used as a seasoning for meats, sauces, scrambled eggs, broths or even to make delicious saffron rice recipes. Use it in moderation, as too much can result in an excessively bitter taste. Use 1 sachet for each dose for 4 people.
